The transport activities started around 1935. At that time the transports were organized by horse and carry. This all under supervision of Mr. J.M. van Beek sr. who founded the company. Soon it was known as "Jo van Beek Transport". A few years later the horses were replaced by trucks. Jo van Beek was one of the first hauliers/transportation companies in the Netherlands with an own fleet. Already at that time the trucks were modern and well equipped. Over the years this progressive image is maintained and even further enhanced. 1988 : The finalization of the first phase : the new premises at the industrial area "de Lage Maat". The second phase : the realization of a very modern and well equipped multi-user warehouse. Suitable for storage of all kind of goods : 1995 With the removal to this new build location, Jo van Beek laid down its foundation for further expansion. Next to transportation Jo van Beek started offering warehousing and VAL ("Value Added Logistics") activities.
