Our logistic service starts from the point of receiving stock and ends with proof of delivery. As part of our comprehensive service we take full responsibility for any stock losses and provide full goods-in-transit insurance. Presidential Logistics has two distribution centers, one in Durban and one in Ga-Rankuwa, North of Pretoria. The Durban centre is the ideal location for distributing of imported stock as it is saving time and money. All imported stock, as well as those of local Durban-based suppliers, are delivered to our Durban distribution center and are distributed from there. The Ga-Rankuwa distribution centre acts as the hub for the Durban distribution centre, as well as a distribution point for all local and cross-border suppliers outside the Durban area. Presidential Logistics has a full assembly line in Ga-Rankuwa. Currently we assemble and repackage more that 1 000 suites per month, saving money on bigger items as the shipping component on imports is reduced if products are brought in flat pack. The total warehouse space is currently around 26000 square meters. Transport is outsourced to about 30 different trustworthy transport companies, each one specialising in a specific area. Having access to different transport companies is essential to compete as a dynamic logistics company. It enables us to adapt in the blink of an eye to ever-changing markets and volumes. We always have the correct size and type of truck available and we do not have the burden of unnecessary overheads during slower periods of the year. Our rates are based on size as this is the main cost driver. Weight has to be factored in for heavier items (more than 200kg per cubic meter). We offer an affordable low margin service. Presidential Logistics assembles flat pack stock and delivers nationwide, saving shipping costs and providing our clients with various options to suit their budgets. We offer a quick and precise repair service, as well as import spare parts, when needed, to complete suites. We are dependable because we use our own custom-made software system providing efficient scheduling, routing of products and delivery tracking.
