One stop shopping: from storage to transport, by road, rail, water and air, VAT Logistics is a reliable partner. In 1985 Ruud Vat opens his own warehouse in the Rotterdam Waalhaven area. 5 years later he sets up 8,000 square metres of storage space in Eemhaven Distriparc, a top location opposite the ECT home terminal. In 1994 Helsinki is established. In addition to daily groupage between Rotterdam and Helsinki, VAT now also organises transports to Russia through its Helsinki office. By taking over Fabius Amsterdam, the Hentex Team Group and Interhollandia, now offers Europe-wide distribution services. The total storage capacity amounts well over 100,000 square metres. The VAT Group's one stop shopping concept comprises storage (Value Added Logistics), shipping including NVOCC services, customs clearance, worldwide distribution and air freight services (IATA). Since its beginning with nothing but a small kitchen table and a telex, the VAT Logistics Group has developed into an overall storage, shipping and distribution company.
